The digital space has opened up astounding new ways to share information. Many media outlets are, however, struggling to create successful business models. Given this, how can digital media remain viable? This pressing question will be at the center of discussions at the conference.
More than 50 exceptional delegates will gather to consider the multi-faceted concept of “viability.” How can new media, and traditional media with a strong online presence, make money and ensure financial stability? How can media organizations successfully structure their businesses? How can they continue to produce quality journalism? Keynotes and workshops will consider issues as varied as the environment necessary for independent, pluralistic media to emerge and survive, funding sources and efficient business plans.
The focus of the conference will be on the Middle East with participants from other regions sharing their experiences and best practices to make this a global meeting of minds. The conference will bring together innovative media actors to build networks and work on future-ready business models.
